Assembly from components supplied by different suppliers

Not every product is built from parts of a single origin. Components often come from several suppliers — a plastic part from here, a metal one from there, small items from somewhere else. Our job is to bring it all together into a whole that simply works.

Why this can be difficult

Parts from different sources mean different tolerances, different deliveries and different incoming condition. Without an orderly approach, it’s easy to end up in a situation where “almost everything fits”. We prefer it to fit completely.

How we approach it

• Gathering the full set — we organise the components and check that we have everything needed for assembly.
• Incoming inspection — before we start assembly, we look at the condition and conformity of the parts.
• Assembly — we build the product to the agreed process, taking care of repeatability.
• Outgoing inspection — we check the result before the batch goes back to you.

What this gives you

Instead of coordinating several suppliers and worrying whether the parts will “come together” in one place, you hand it to us. You get back a finished, checked product — not a box of loose parts.

Before we start

It’s enough to tell us which parts the product is to be made from and where they come from. Together we’ll work out how to gather and assemble the whole so that the result is repeatable.
